An annual gathering of leading social media researchers is being held this year from July 11-13 at Goldsmiths.

The International Conference on Social Media & Society (#SMSociety) is an annual gathering of leading social media researchers. Now, in its 7th year, the 2016 Conference is being held at Goldsmiths. The conference is organized by the Social Media Lab at Ryerson University, Ted Rogers School of Management, Canada. Goldsmiths local co-hosts are Evelyn Ruppert (Sociology) and Editor of the journal, Big Data & Society (BD&S) along with Dhiraj Murthy (Sociology) and co-director of the Centre for Creative & Social Technologies (CAST).
