THE LAST QUEEN OF PARADISE: The Last Queen of Paradise recounts the story of Queen Liliuokalani, the last monarch of Hawaii. Authoritative American politicians betrayed and forced her to sign a defective constitution which eliminated most native Hawaiian’s human rights and which passed Liliuokalani’s power to the United States. This is still a controversial issue to this very day.

HARMONY PARK is the story of Sophie, a young disabled woman who finds solace in a theme park, the people that she meets there and the impact that they have on her life. This is a story about love, nostalgia, loss, disability, and visibility. At HARMONY PARK everyone is welcome!

HAN: HAN is set in World War II, during Japan’s invasion of Korea, HAN is based on the life of a Korean woman who is being held captive by the Imperial Army. HAN exposes the hardships that many Korean women faced during the war, in later years these women have become known as the comfort women.

IT TASTES LIKE HOME: Chinese and Jamaican food fuse to create a love story that captures the gap between often unmet expectations of first generations immigrants, and the dilemmas of a second generation trying to navigate through two worlds. It is a romantic comedy meal you don't want to miss.

We really look forward to seeing you at Tristan Bates Theatre and do not forget to book your tickets!!
