Showcasing film, photographs, autobiographies and fiction to raise questions about how we research and represent communities of exile and mobility.

This event brings together researchers who have recently worked in the jungle refugee camp in Calais:

Professor Sue Clayton (Media and Communications)

Dr Aura Lounasmaa and Cigdem Esin (University of East London)

Annie Holmes (Writer and Editor)

We will be showing Sue Clayton’s recent film on her work with children in Calais. Aura Lounasmaa and Cigdem Esin will be sharing images from their photography workshops in the camp. Annie Holmes will talk about the short story collection Breach, written with Olumide Popoola - the first book length fiction from Calais.

Supported by the Centre for Feminist Research and the Migration Research Network
