Event overview
Media Forum, 5:15pm Thursday 9 February, LG01 PSHB
It’s 30 years since the controversial government AIDS health campaign “Don’t Die of Ignorance”. Many of the doctors and nurses who cared for Britain’s first AIDS patients have never spoken about their experiences publically – until now.
In this award-wining documentary, medical staff describe a dark time with little treatment on offer.
Executive Producer Tracey Gardiner and Producer Leigh Chislett will introduce a special showing of “AIDS: Doctors and Nurses Tell Their Stories” followed by a Q&A on the story behind their compelling film.
