Event overview
Compiler is pleased to invite you to an evening of art, performance and conversation exploring surveillance, privacy and cryptosecurity.
We are being watched, tracked, documented and observed.
Surveillance is intensifying, but is that intensity linked to control, extraction and politics, or is it pleasurable?
The works in this exhibition move from dystopian and disciplinary aspects of surveillance to the participatory, communal and ludic.
Five artists working across performance, dance, sculpture and installation examine the surveillance inherent in the practices of states, corporations, technological spaces and the idioms of digital art.
This event marks the launch of Compiler: a platform for new media art and dialogue, with a focus on creative and critical engagement with digital technologies.
