Event overview
A day of talks celebrating non binary people in tech. Break the binary, bring the bytes.
Saturday 29 July 2017 - Goldsmiths, University of London
Non Binary in Tech is a free one-day event that focuses on highlighting the amazing work of people who identify partly or solely outside of the gender binary in the technology industry. Our theme for talks is "What excites you about technology?".
It will be an accessible event that is free for everyone to attend and will feature talks, panels and networking. The event is open to people regardless of gender identity. If you feel like you would benefit from the event, we would love to see you.
NBiT will be made up of a wide range of speakers, covering a broad spectrum of topics around technology. Our theme for talks is "What excites you about technology?".
Have a cool idea for a talk? We want to provide opportunities for both professional speakers and less experienced speakers - you will receive guidance on making your talk as awesome as possible. If you're interested in speaking please apply to speak. The only thing we do ask is that the talk is somewhat tech-related, suitable for beginners, it can fill a 30 min slot and that you partly or wholly identify outside the gender binary. If you're unsure if your talk fits those requirements or you have any other questions get in contact with us.
The venue is fully wheelchair accessible and has a gender neutral bathroom. This event is an inclusive environment and we ask all attendees to help us achieve this by using gender neutral language, introducing oneself with pronouns and respecting other people.
