Launch of Psychology research themes.

Goldsmiths’ Psychology department invites you to celebrate the launch of five research themes, focussing our key areas of activity and promoting our cutting-edge practice and exciting research futures.

All are welcome to a series of presentations by our thematic leaders and their colleagues.

The programme for the showcase is as follows:

1pm – Introduction, Head of Department, Professor Andrew Bremner and Director of Research, Professor Michael Banissy

1-1:30pm – Psychology Centre for Forensic and Clinical Science: “Live Projects and Future Plans” (Professor Fiona Gabbert and Dr Caoimhe McAnena)

1:30-2pm – Psychology Centre for Cognition and Neuroscience: “How you move affects what you see: EEG and TMS investigations of perception-action coupling” (Xavier Job), "Music performance: from motor control to decision-making" (Dr Maria Herrojo-Ruiz)

2-2:30pm –break, with posters

2:30-3pm – Psychology Centre for the Science of Creative and Performing Arts (Presentation 1: Dr Guido Orgs and Dr Becky Chamberlain, Presentation 2: Pedro Douglass-Kirk and Professor Lauren Stewart)

3-3:30pm – Psychology Centre for Social Processes and Personality: “Collective narcissism: an overview” (Dr Agnieszka Golec De Zavala), “Exploring mentoring and coaching for university students” (Mubeena Nowrung)

3:30-4pm – refreshment break, with posters

4-4:30pm – Psychology Centre for Developmental and Educational Science (Introduction from Professor Adam Rutland, followed by presentations by Teemu Toivainen and Guilia Orioli)

4.30-5pm - Summary and close

A light lunch will be served from 12pm in the LG02 Atrium. A reception will follow from 5-7pm, to which all are welcome.
