Triple Loop is a new audiovisual, site-specific and immersive performance created according to chance operations: tarot, fortune cookies, compass directions and dice.
With each result she creates a new performance, combining moving images and sound. A multimedia narrative is created, using voice, electronics, objects, toys and data from her personal archive. Images and soundscapes are created in real time.
Dr. Blanca Regina is an artist, curator and tutor based in London. Her research and practice are heterogeneous and encompass expanded cinema, free improvisation, audiovisual design and performance art. With a particular interest in the themes of language, identity, time and space, she is exploring the interplay of digital and analogue media.
In 2014 she joined the School of Music & Fine Art at the University of Kent as a lecturer. For several years after receiving her PhD in Humanities at Communication School, Rey Juan Carlos University, Madrid, she was a visiting research fellow at Chelsea College of Art and Design (2011-14).
Her first solo exhibition, 'Expanded and Ephemera Audiovisual' was presented at MUPO, Oaxaca, México in November 2015. She has created a number of films and performed in sound and visual experiences with various artists, including Terry Day, Leafcutter John, Steve Beresford and Matthias Kispert. Since 2011, she has curated a number of events internationally. She is a member of the Immersive Pipeline project led by Dr. Atau Tanaka at Goldsmiths.
