Peter Sheppard Skærved has premiered over 300 works for violin alone, by composers from all of over the world. All of these have been the result of collaboration, often over decades. He presents an evening celebrating the process with works written for him by some of the composers with whom he works the closest. He will be joined by his wife, writer Malene Skærved , for some their shared work around her poetry.

Writer Malene Skærved teaches in the Media & Communications Department at Goldsmiths. She has written biographies if Marlene Dietrich and Hans Christian Andersen, and collaborates with a number of composers. Her ‘Christina’s Memory Garden’ was premiered in St Paul Minnesota this May, and her collaboration with Nigel Clarke ‘A Richer Dust’ was staged at the Strasbourg Conservatoire at the beginning of June.
