Tomboy follows 10 year old Laurie through a seemingly endless summer as she reinvents herself as a boy named Michael. Exhilarating and uncomfortable by degrees, Tomboy invites us to reflect on gender, social rules, and the ‘freedom’ of childhood.

Future cinema dates this term:
Christiane F (1981) Director: Uli Edel, 13 March, 1-3pm, BPB Lecture Theatre
Fruitvale Station (2014) Director: Ryan Coogler, 1-3pm, RHB 144
