Christiane F tells the true story of a young teenager’s decent into the 1970s Berlin drug scene. Films about drugs are rare in their capacity to make audiences feel closer to the people who use them. Here we find a nuanced portrayal, offering a rich sociological and emphatic encounter.

Future cinema dates this term:
Fruitvale Station (2014) Director: Ryan Coogler, 1-3pm, RHB 144
