Lisa Power will present a personal overview of lesbian sexual politics and identities in the UK from the 70s till now.

From butch and femme through communes, separatism and non-patriarchal sex via double denim, serial monogamy, S&M and lesbian pornography to gender fluidity, diversity and the anti-trans backlash.

Lisa Power came out in the 70s and has been frequently told how she ought to behave as a lesbian (she never learns). She spent 14 years on Switchboard, 17 years with Terrence Higgins Trust, was a co-founder of Stonewall, ex-Secretary General of the International Lesbian & Gay Association and the proprietor of the first lesbian sex toy mail order business in the UK, Thrilling Bits. She is a medieval historian by training and her motto is "History is for interfering with".

This event is free and open to the public but registration is required.
