Rosie Lowe and collaborator/producer, Dave Okumu will be talking about the process of making Rosie's 2nd album, YU - releasing very soon.

After completing the BMus in Popular Music here at Goldsmiths, ROSIE LOWE started making her own music – a languorous take on electronic soul (think Sade refracted by the xx). She has collaborated with Kwes and the Invisible’s Dave Okumu, and signed to producer Paul Epworth’s label in 2014. With the likes of Sir Elton John and Adele reportedly fans of her music, Rosie's sultry sound and vulnerably honest lyrics have caught the attention of many. Her debut album, Control, was released in 2016 and her 2nd album - YU - is releasing very soon.

Best known for fronting his critically acclaimed band The Invisible, whose eponymous debut was nominated for a Mercury Prize (2009) and was also selected by iTunes UK editorial team as 'iTunes Album of the Year', DAVE OKUMU has also collaborated, performed or recorded with numerous artists including Adele, Lianne La Havas, Grace Jones, Anna Calvi, Eska, Paloma Faith, Jessie Ware, Kwabs, Lilly Wood, Jordan Rakei, Rosie Lowe, Nilufer, Connie Constance, Amy Winehouse, St Vincent, Yoko Ono, Beck, Savages, Jane Birkin, Sara Creative Partners, Brigette Fontaine, Theo Parrish, Tony Allen, King Sunny Ade, Omar, Matthew Herbert, Dani Siciliano, Toddla T, Ghost Poet, Bilal and Jack De Johnette.

In June 2018 Goldsmiths awarded Dave with an Honorary Fellowship of the College, in recognition of his significant achievements and contributions to music.
