Sculpting Sound on the Classical Six-String Guitar. **NOW IN RHB 274**

Martin Vishnick presents a talk about real life experiences as a professional musician over five decades. The three areas of musical life are performing, composing, and teaching, which culminated in the present research project. There will be discussion on the journey from early life to now, covering inspirations, playing situations, creating music, and pedagogy.

Dr Martin Vishnick - guitarist, composer, teacher, and researcher
As performer concert tours have taken Martin all over the globe. Commissions include music for the theatre and concert hall. Martin also teaches guitar and composition.
He holds an MSc in composition at University of Hertfordshire 1998, and a research PhD from City University 2014. Martin is now propagating post-doctoral research, testing theories and principles expounded in his PhD Dissertation.
