"Collaboration & Caprices - Opening the Workshop Door" with violinist Peter Sheppard Skærved and composer Roger Redgate.

Collaboration & Caprices - Opening the Workshop Door, with music by Hafliði Hallgrímsson and Roger Redgate, plus new works by composers from the Malmö Academy of Music, Maria Erlandsson, Fritiof Palm, Mirza Kucukovic, Daniel Möllås, and Erik Valdemar Sköld.

An evening of music and conversation. Peter Sheppard Skærved is the Visiting Research Fellow at Goldsmiths where he is collaborating with Roger Redgate on a new set of caprices for violin. The great Icelandic composer Hafliði Hallgrímsson's works for him are based on artist/composer Paul Klee's painting and practice. They are joined by composers from the New works by composers from the Malmö Academy of Music. Threading through the new music, selections from the anonymous, extraordinary, 1685 Klagenfurt Manuscript, a 3 hour cycle of works for scordatura, which Peter has just finished recording.

Programme:
Hafliði Hallgrímsson - Klee Sketches
Roger Redgate – Caprices
Anon (1685) - Works from the Klagenfurt Handskrift,
Plus new works by students at the Malmö Academy of Music
