Meet and hear hugely popular author Malorie Blackman

The Centre for Language, Culture and Learning is proud to present Malorie Blackman, OBE, and Children’s Laureate from 2013-2015 “in conversation” with Michael Rosen, Children’s Laureate from 2007-2009 and Professor of Children’s Literature in the Department of Educational Studies at Goldsmiths.

Come and listen to Malorie Blackman talking about her hugely popular work for children and young adults. Malorie has created stories that have hooked children into reading and her books uncover and explore pressing social and ethical issues. Her critically and popularly acclaimed Noughts and Crosses series (with a 5th book Crossfire arriving shortly) uses the setting of a fictional dystopia to explore racism. This year a play of Noughts and Crosses is touring the UK, and a TV series of the novel is currently being cast, with grime artist Stormzy in a leading role!

Book sales and a book signing by Malorie Blackman after the event.
