A People’s Tribunal on the Irish Border

MA candidates at the Centre for Research Architecture, Department of Visual Cultures, Goldsmiths present "The Right To Not Be Bounded Thusly," a People’s Tribunal on the Irish Border at the Lewisham Irish Community Centre. This day-long event will utilize testimony, visual evidence, and documentation collected during fieldwork in Northern Ireland to make a series of speculative legal claims across contested sites. Areas of research engage with the Irish Border in terms of historical political tensions as well as via less visible forms of violence such as resource extraction, environmental infrastructure, and smart technologies. The Cases presented will be followed by a critical response from invited guests. The day will conclude with drinks and open discussion.
