Electronic Music. Don't be left behind. Not Waiting is a bi-monthly evening of electronic music in South London at the Amersham Arms

This month we have a 4 acts including a number of Goldsmiths music students and staff - Vera Bremerton, Daniel James Ross' Giant Leap Ensemble, Levi Draper and Orville Pym.

Vera Bremerton with her new release "Only Women Bleed"
Counting Diamanda Galàs, Maria Callas and Meredith Monk among her muses, Vera uses different timbres, effects and a 4-octaves vocal range. High-end musical skills in composition and performance, and theatricality in spades... sensitivity and subtlety even in the more violent sections. (Chrissie Caulfield, Radio Free Midwich). She's half art-house horror movie queen, half cabaret torch singer, and her studied, arch delivery of precision-crafted melodramatic ballads... certainly commands attention (Michael Johnson, Nemesis To Go)

Giant Leap (2019) – Daniel James Ross
Giant Leap is a piece for mixed improvising ensemble and tape. It was originally written for Daylight Music in June 2019. The work celebrates the 50th anniversary of the moon landing and features original audio recordings from onboard Apollo 11 itself.

Levi Draper’s body of work focuses on the evaluation and reinterpretation of existing dance music forms.

Orville Pym will be performing a live set of newly composed sounds and arrangements using synthesiser and computer. Orville's interests lie in unconventional tuning systems, psychoacoustic phenomena and phonography.
