Join ensemble in residence Ligeti Quartet in conversation with composer Robin Haigh before their concert on Tuesday 12 November.

Ligeti Quartet have commissioned BASCA prize-winning composer, and Goldsmiths alumnus, Robin Haigh to write a substantial new work for their autumn 2019 concert programmes. The piece is in traditional four-movements structure - one inspired by howling Samoyed dogs another inspired by the Florence Foster Jenkins-like scat singer Shooby Taylor a ‘lullaby’ movement which make use of childhood instruments (recorders, triangles etc.) and the finale, a fusion of folk-fiddle and heavy metal.

Join them for a discussion and Q&A in this informal free lunchtime event.
