Event overview
As part of the LGBTQIA+ History Month, the Games Library Night is back with an evening of playing and exploring games from a queer perspective.
The event kicks off at 3pm on the ground floor of the Library with a showcase of independent games, installations and student games including:
Tiny Islands by David King
Cadence by Peter Cardwell-Gardner
Bird of Passage by Space Backyard
Sonder by Franciska Csongrady
Inner message and Down and Out by Chantay St.Louis
Piece by Piece by Martha Hollister, Russell Bittles, Shanique Thompson and Marcus Ansley
Awaken in Goblin Forest by Moses Noxolo
Crossing by Michael Kirby
Then at 6pm we'll be welcoming the first of our speakers on stage to start the talks!
Speakers will include:
· "How to make games even more queer" by Chris Priestman, freelance writer, editor and co-founder of Warp Door
· "Improving Equality, Inclusion and Diversity in the Games Industry" by Leon Killin, writer and founder of BalancePatch
· "A fireside chat with Marina Díez", hosted by Federico Fasce
The event is free and open to the public, all are welcome. Snacks will be provided.
