Rob Pepper is an artist, designer and the current Principal of Art Academy London.

On leaving school he made a vow to never get a proper job, in the fear that it would kill his creativity. In the past twenty-five years Rob has often chosen a life of discomfort and actively embraced the unknown. Through this, his creative practice has enabled adventures across many countries.

In 2003 he joined a small community of artists that wanted to challenge the way art education was being taught and he helped develop the Art Academy. Out of the discomfort of lack of finances and sector knowledge, this small art school is now fully validated with over 3000 students and 100 artists regularly employed. The Art Academy’s methods of teaching supports, nurtures and challenges whilst also being brutally honest about how to prepare for viable careers in art practice.

Join Rob as he shares his experiences of creative practice as well as what it’s like to set up, develop and run an alternative art school in Central London.
