Event overview
Cities on Screen are excited to announce the return of our Cities on Screen film and discussion series at Goldsmiths this term.
Brasília: Life After Design follows the daily lives of three individuals living in Brasília. Originally designed as a modernist experiment by architect Oscar Niemeyer and urbanist Lúcio Costa, the city was set to become a utopian ideal but sits against a backdrop of isolation and conflict. Through the eyes of its city-dwellers, Brasília offers an insightful look at what it is like to live in someone else’s designed and constructed paradise.
Snacks, wine and soft drinks will be provided with support from the Goldsmiths SU Academic Communities Fund
