Learn what goes into PR and how to utilise it for your business. Delivered by award winning, London based communications agency Third City.

PR is one of the most cost-effective and influential marketing tools at your disposal, yet it’s notoriously hard to define, frequently misunderstood and often poorly executed. In this session, we’ll attempt to pin down what PR is, the key ingredients for a successful campaign, and the almost endless tactics available with famous examples that can work for any level of budget.

Third City is one of London's leading independent PR agencies with 30 full time staff at their offices in Clerkenwell. The agency numbers start-ups, scale-ups and well established disruptive tech companies on its client list, including Expedia, Zava, Noddle, CreditKarma and Hoop; the agency has won more than 40 industry awards in the last two years across corporate PR, digital, social media, creative and public affairs.

The team will be here to talk about the basics of PR and answer any questions you have.
The aim is to provide a snapshot of PR and how it can help your business, and guidance on how to get started whether you’d be doing it yourself or looking to hire some help.

Learning outcomes:

· Understanding of the fundamentals of PR and how it differs from other marketing disciplines
· How to build campaigns from scratch
· How to reach audiences via the media, including press release crafting
· Understand of basic cost options, from working with freelancers to agencies
