Join us for evenings of songs, improvisations and sonic adventures live-streamed from the EMS on our YouTube channel.

With live gigs being a bit thin on the ground at the moment the Electronic Music Studio is starting a regular series of live-streamed concerts on Thursday evenings between 7pm and 8pm with solo artists and duos performing a 40 – 60-minute live set from our very own live room.

Tonight's artist is Leo Lore, who was raised in the quiet flatlands of Norfolk. His home life was far from quiet though - a melting pot of cultures courtesy of his English father and his mother’s Yemeni and Romanian heritage, his home was filled with the musical loves of older siblings.

This lifelong fusion of cultures is key to his music – smooth soul sounds that fuse flavours from around the world. Delivering frank lyrics from the heart he now celebrates his authentic self with an old-skool sound that nods to the classics such as Billie Holiday and Ray Charles whilst also finding inspiration in the likes of current artists such as Pip Millet and Cleo Sol.

Musically, Lore finds himself comfortably nestled between the old and the new, mixing polished sounds with raw but soothing vocals, offering solace whilst wearing his heart on his sleeve.
