Join us for the online premiere of a show created and curated by Goldsmiths Confucius Institute artistic team, combining Chinese dance, music, martial arts and poetry.
Goldsmiths Confucius Institute for Dance and Performance is delighted to invite you to the online premiere of the Chinese dance, music and martial arts performance show created and curated by the CI artistic team to celebrate Chinese New Year (Year of the Ox) on the 12th of February.
大美不言
The theme of this year's show is "Beauty Beyond Words", inspired by the philosophy of Zhuang Zi 庄子 and the idea that "Heaven and Earth have embody great beauty that is without words". In that very sense, music and dance have the power to express beauty and grace without a word, and are able to create a unique connection between the performer and the Universe.
The show will include performances of our Goldsmiths Confucius Institute artistic and Mandarin teachers, as well as guest performances from our partner universities in China, combining music, dance, martial arts and poetry.
There will also be an opportunity to win exciting prizes - free or discounted short courses of your choice at Goldsmiths Confucius Institute!
