A week of talks and activities to support and inspire students and alumni in the Department of Computing to plan for their future career.

This year it is more important than ever to support our students in discovering what career might be the right one and for making successful applications for placements and jobs. We will be working with some wonderful employers, alumni, Careers experts and academic staff to offer a programme of really useful talks and activities.

Get Involved
This has been a difficult year for our students. They love to hear from employers and people doing the jobs that they aspire to do themselves in the future. Could you give up an hour of your time to help us? Here are some of the ways you could get involved:

Delivering a talk about working in your industry or your own career journey

Taking part in our CV & Portfolio clinics - we will match students to relevant employers for short advice clinics: students will prepare their CVs and Portfolios in advance and indicate what sort of role(s) they are interested in

The week will be roughly structured as follows, but some talks will be relevant to all students:

Monday June 14th & Tuesday June 15th - talks, panels and activities for Postgraduate students
Wednesday 16th June - CV & Portfolio clinics
Thursday June 17th & Friday June 18th - talks, panels and activities for Undergraduate students

If you are a prospective student interested in attending please contact the Programme Leader for information

For current students info will be shared via your Teams calendar, if you don't see it please contact computing@gold.ac.uk

For Alumni, please book via the booking link below

Employers - If you would like to join us or if you have any questions, please contact Eilidh Macdonald (e.macdonald@gold.ac.uk)
