Join Bijou Stories at their pop-up exhibition in Lewisham Shopping Centre for a 10 day celebration of the borough's LGBTQ+ communities.

As part of the In Living Memory project led by Goldsmiths, Bijou Stories are taking over a shopping space for a series of meet ups, memory sessions and creative workshops.

Through the memories of those that remember them, the project is uncovering the history of Lewisham's lost gay pubs and the informal support they offered their communities that helped overcome social and political challenges.

The space will reflect on the challenges faced by such spaces, the impact of their closure, and will inspire action for their protection in the present.

Come and explore an exhibition of art, artefact and memory and discover the forgotten histories of the lost gay pubs of Lewisham.
