Protests have erupted against the Iranian regime several times in the past few years, only for the huge demonstrations to fizzle out. Might this time be different?

As an unprecedented wave of protest rolls across Iran, join our expert panel to discuss what happens next.

Speakers:

– Negin Shiraghaei, formerly BBC Persian and co-founder of March Health, which is working to change the future of women’s health

– Nazenin Ansari, managing editor of Kayhan-London and Kayhan-Life publications

– Dr Gholam Khiabany, Department of Media, Communications and Cultural Studies, Goldsmiths

Students, staff and members of the public are invited to The Media Forum Series, follow our hashtag #goldmediaforum for more information!

We will address topical, often controversial issues about journalism and current affairs coverage. Key invited speakers will share their insights and discuss hot-button issues.
