Event overview
Led by Paul Bartholomew, the CJE and jazz vocalists perform a selection of jazz tunes.
CJE will be playing tunes by Freddie Hubbard, Abdullah Ibrahim, Tower Of Power, Wayne Shorter and Charlie Mingus's Oh Lord Please Don’t Let Them Drop That Atomic Bomb (and yes, we’ll keep doing this until we don’t have to!)
The Jazz choir will be singing 'Skylark' and 'My One and Only Love', and there will be smaller combos featured including final year Jazz composers, plus a movement from a Horowitz Sonatina! All in all, a snapshot of some of the jazz activities across the department.
Bring your own drinks to join us in the Great Hall for an evening of jazz tunes.
