A free screening of Getting it Back, The Story of Cymande. Part of New Cross and Deptford Free Film Festival

They’re the greatest band you’ve never heard of… join us at the Cinema to celebrate the influence and legacy of London band, Cymande. Their message of peace, love and funk sailed beyond Britain’s shores and helped shape music for five decades and has been heavily sampled by the likes of Grandmaster Flash, De La Soul, Fugees and KLF . Now their story is told on screen for for the first time.
