Embodiment and Sound – A Portrayal of the Traditional Music and Dance of Thailand

Chulalongkorn University in collaboration with the Asian Music Unit (AsMU) at Goldsmiths is delighted to present a unique concert of Thai music: "Embodiment and Sound: A Portrayal of the Traditional Music and Dance of Thailand"

This is a rare opportunity to experience some of the best performers of Thai music and is not to be missed.

The concert will feature a special programme performed by more than 20 musicians and dancers from the Traditional Music Ensemble, Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok.

Directed by the eminent National Artist, Dr Sirichaicharn Fachamroon, the programme includes traditional singing, music and dance, accompanied by large Thai orchestras including the mahori and piphat mai khaeng ensembles.

The concert is free and all are welcome to attend, but please sign up via eventbrite

• เพลงเชิดจีน วงปี่พาทย์ไม้แข็ง (Choed Chin)
• ระบำสุโขทัย (Sukhothai)
• เพลงไทยดำเนินดอย วงมโหรี (Thai Damnoen Doi)
• ฟ้อนลาวดวงเดือน (Fon Lao Duang Duen)
• เพลงพระอาทิตย์ชิงดวง (Phra Athit Ching Duang
