Exploring, Discovering and Embracing the Windrush Era
Celebrate with Hillview Community Services as we commemorate the jubilee anniversary of the Windrush Generation and their descendants.
Join us on Windrush Day to come together, share, and acknowledge the contributions, the heritage, and the rich tapestry that the Windrush Generation and their descendants have contributed to our diverse communities.
Come and join the fun as we celebrate the afternoon with shared experiences, laughter, food, drinks and more - the perfect way to honour and remember those from the Windrush Generation.
At the event there will be Caribbean taster dishes, non-alcoholic beverages, music, dancing, drama, time to shared lived experiences, activities, and a history exhibition.
The dress code: time to sparkle and show off the fashion trends of the day from the Windrush era, 40’s, 50’s, 60’s and beyond; or just come as you are! Please remember to wear comfortable footwear as there will be plenty of activities.
