MMus performance student Amalia Young performs avant-garde and experimental music for violin, electronics and piano.

This programme of avant-garde and experimental music exhibits the violin within a few intimate ensemble configurations, exploring sound that is spectral and ethereal, brittle and cracked, uncertain and tender.

Programme:
Kaija Saariaho - Frises (2011), for violin and electronics
Morton Feldman - Spring of Chosroes (1977), for violin and piano, with Jay Keys (piano)
Chiyoko Szlavnics - Quick Figure (for Marc Sabat) (2010) and This is Only Here. This is Only Now. (2010), for 2 violins, with Mira Benjamin (violin)

The degree shows will be recorded for later release on our YouTube channel/goldsmithsmusic

Venue: Deptford Town Hall - what3words: page.trains.list
