The Sound Practice Research Unit and the Music Research Series invite you to a lecture by Tasmania based Dr Julia Drouhin

Dr Julia Drouhin is a French Australian artist and curator based in Tasmania-lutruwita. She explores embodiment of invisible soundstreams that reveal friction in sociality and shift usual modes of transmission through radioscapes, installations and collaborative performances. Her work using field recordings, electromagnetic frequencies as well as textiles, edible and found objects had been presented in Europe, Hong Kong, Brazil, South Africa and Australia, as well as broadcast on terrestrial airwaves and online radios. https://www.juliadrouhin.com/

At lunchtine, you can see her perform live with French improv / electronic DIY / circuit bending experimentalist Blenno Die Wurstbrücke Povera and sound artist and improviser Iris Garrelfs. https://www.gold.ac.uk/calendar/?id=14776
