Come and hear the human rights organisation Prisoners of Conscience speak about its work supporting human rights defenders around the world.

Standing up for human rights is courageous work in many parts of the world. But who stands up for these brave individuals who often face serious threats and consequences for their actions?

In this seminar we will hear from two members of Prisoners of Conscience, an organisation that has since 1962 worked to support and protect peaceful activists around the world. They will speak about the work they do, the challenges they face and provide snapshots of the stories of some of the people they have been helping.

This seminar will be of interest to anyone considering a career in human rights or social justice or just wanting to know more about what human rights work looks like in practice.
