A series of talks from leaders in their field, who will talk about the impact of new technologies.

In the fourth talk of the series you will hear from Jessica Driscoll - Director of Technology - Immersive at Digital Catapult​ (digicatapult.org.uk) and a member of the External Advisory Board for the Department of Computing - who will talk about AI & the Creative Industries, including Responsible Challenges, as well as highlights from her own Career journey and tips on navigating the current job market.

+ Jessica will also be interviewed for a podcast by Hacksmiths, the award-winning student-run tech society at Goldsmiths

Bio:
Jessica Driscoll is an accomplished technology leader with a Master's degree in Digital Culture and Technology, boasting 16 years of expertise in immersive technologies. Her proficiency spans haptics, VR, AR, projection mapping, and real-time production, covering the entire value chain from business development to content creation.

Notable industry experience includes media, entertainment, oil & gas, aviation, construction, pharmaceuticals, and NGOs, working with clients like BAE, Honeywell, TATA, Renault, Rolls Royce, UNICEF, and Rotary.

At BBC Research and Development, she served as a senior producer for the award-winning BBC Civilisations AR app.

Currently, she chairs the Virtual Environments application area and leads Advanced Media Production capabilities in London and Gateshead. Noteworthy contributions include steering national accelerator programs (CreativeXR and Augmentor), producing the world's first Virtual Reality national showcase (Immersive Arcade), mentoring UCL's Virtual Reality MA course, and serving on advisory boards for Goldsmiths School of Computing and Virtual Production Network + (EPSRC).
