Royston John is returning to Goldsmiths to deliver his TEDx talk which was hugely successful in June. During the talk, Royston uncovers a journey of how migration shaped his life.

Royston John is a ‘child’ of the controversially titled ‘Windrush’ Generation.

Themes that will be discussed during his talk include:

• Trauma
• Survival Techniques
• Protecting Parents
• Fractures in Sibling Relationships
• Love Child vs Abandoned Child
• Healing Strategies

Following the screening, there will be an extensive therapeutic interaction, conversation and Q&A facilitated by Royston.

About the Speaker:
Royston John has been providing services as a Business Coach, Management Consultant and EDI Specialist for over 20 years and before that he served as a senior manager across public and private sectors. Royston has delivered over 700 workshops, advised a Mayor and Cabinet on increasing Black staff in employment; supported businesses becoming anti-racist organisations; with Police reducing racial disparity; and increasing harmony in communities. Royston has also worked collaboratively with the British Council and 19 African countries.
