Event overview
For Day 2 of our video uploads, the Laptop Ensemble perform Lily Greenham's "Object-ivity"
For PureGold25 Day 2 of our video uploads, we have @goldsmithslaptopensemble, with performers Aisling Gallagher, Niamh Gallagher, Lois Qi and Anirudh Sathyanarayanan, performing Lily Greenham's "Object-ivity".
The Goldsmiths Laptop Ensemble compose, programme, and improvise using controllers, objects and laptops. This improvisation was inspired by Lily Greenham’s text score/sound poem Object-ivity from the collection Tune into Reality. The ensemble explore the sonic possibilities of Greenham’s words through processing, sampling and play.
Join us at midday this week for our daily releases of works created by students working in the Department of Music.
PureGold is our annual festival of innovative and exciting work coming out of the Department of Music, live online via YouTube and our festival website - https://www.puregoldfestival.com/
We will feature videos, audio tracks, sonic art works and live performances, from students across all our degree programmes.
