Join Dr Timothy Stacey to discover an alternative vision of belonging.

Those best able to tell us what the environmental future must look like have lost the language of belonging. And those best able to conjure a sense of belonging seem determined to close borders, constrain free speech, and ignore warnings of environmental catastrophe.

In this context, the Ecology and Belonging project seeks ways of belonging that are:

- deep enough to connect people to the environment
- inspiring enough to transcend entrenched political divisions and
- open to newcomers

It does so by boldly bringing together insights from across the political spectrum and from across the world: from indigenous and decolonial perspectives, to conservatism, to eco-fascism.

The aim is to identify pitfalls and possibilities for a new political space.

Dr Timothy Stacey is a Senior Research Fellow at the Urban Futures Studio, Utrecht University. He is also the current holder of the prestigious Thematic Group Leader Fellowship at the Netherlands Institute for Advanced Studies, and a Fellow of the Faiths and Civil Society Unit, Goldsmiths.
