Join us for an evening performance of music created by students on the MFA programme, with sets from Veronica Bianqui, Joaquin Freccia and Jake Object.

Join us for an evening performance of sets created by students on the MFA programme, starting at 6pm in the George Wood Theatre, with sets from Veronica Bianqui (one-woman rock n roll), Joaquin Freccia (an electroacoustic curated improvisation on prerecorded materials and compositions) and Jake Object (singer-songwriter with projections).

Veronica Bianqui will be performing a one-woman rock n roll band solo set - a triple threat as a vocal powerhouse, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, Veronica Bianqui channels the raw energy of garage rock with the passion of classic soul and R&B, all packaged with catchy pop hooks–picture the quirky vibes of early B-52s meeting the indie-pop sensibilities of The Strokes.

A native of Los Angeles, Bianqui cut her teeth in iconic clubs starting at the age of 16. It was within the underground east side music scene that she began to find her true voice. In her live show, Bianqui has a commanding stage presence, owning the stage with both classic showmanship and a heartfelt vulnerability.

Joaquin Freccia, supported by Lucy Havelock and Pentu, will perform an electro-acoustic curated improvisation on prerecorded materials and compositions.

Jake Turner, aka Jake Object, debuts his visual album, 'The Shape of an Object'. Since moving to London, the Brooklyn native's practice has fused his talents as a musician and visual artist, creating audiovisual work that often feels like a portal into dream world. From behind his iconic mirrored mask, his originality and willingness to step outside of the generic, shines. Spitting hot rhymes, and sweet melodies over visionary productions, his style and individuality is a refreshing reminder that music is a precious feeling. His performance of The Shape of an Object sees the artist in the strange world that he has created.

Performances in the George Wood Theatre are free and open to all.
