Launch of Adventures in Wonderland: An Introduction to the History and Theory of Children's Literature & Spinning Gold: Weaving Tales

Michael Rosen will be talking to John Richmond about his new academic book on children's literature. Michael Rosen devised an annual series of ten lectures at Goldsmiths on the origins, history and theory of children’s literature. Adventures in Wonderland brings these lectures together, with the addition of three ‘interludes’ selected from elsewhere amongst his many writings and talks on literature for children and young people. This book is edited by John Richmond, designed by Deborah Friedland and Helen Jones, and illustrated by MA Children's Book Illustrators.

MA Children’s Literature students will be talking about the process of creating this inspirational literary journal. Spinning Gold: Weaving Tales is the third edition of the Spinning Gold literary journal, which is dedicated to showcasing the creative talents of students and alumni from Goldsmiths Children’s Literature Master’s Degree programmes. This collection includes work from illustrators, creative writers and researchers, with a strong emphasis on collaboration. It also features interviews with some of the leading figures in children’s literature today, including former Children’s Laureates Professor Michael Rosen and Joseph Coelho.
