Event overview
Join us in-person to celebrate Professor Peter Smith’s inspiring fight against bullying and its lasting impact.
This event will celebrate the life and legacy of Professor Peter Smith, a leading figure in international bullying research and former Chair of the Anti-Bullying Alliance. Bringing together colleagues, collaborators, researchers and practitioners, the event will reflect on Professor Smith’s significant contributions to the field and the impact of his work on research, policy and practice both in the UK and internationally. The event will include reflections from invited speakers, including former colleagues and students, alongside an opportunity for attendees to share brief reflections on Professor Smith’s influence on their own work.
The event will also mark the launch of the Focus On: The Peter Smith Seminar Series, an annual programme designed to highlight emerging research, strengthen connections between research and practice, and continue Professor Smith’s commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people.
The programme will be from 4:00pm - 5:30pm followed by a drinks reception.
This is an in person only event. We will send venue details to all registered participants closer to the date.
This event is co-hosted by Psychology and Neuroscience, School of Mind, Body and Society at Goldsmiths University of London and the Anti-Bullying Alliance.
