NXt-UP - an evening of live music, spoken word and DJ sets

Join the School of Music, English and Theatre for a free evening of tunes and spoken word.

An eclectic evening hosted by NX Records and MET.
We will feature three performers from Music -
Veronica Bianqui (triple threat as a vocal powerhouse, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, Veronica Bianqui channels the raw energy of garage rock with the passion of classic soul and R&B, all packaged with catchy pop hooks–picture the quirky vibes of early B-52s meeting the indie-pop sensibilities of The Strokes.)

Shen Ao (music producer, composer, arranger and pianist born in Tianjin, China and based in London. He also performs live DJ sets under the alias Teendrum, who specialises in brightly coloured electronic music with intricate structures and a strongly postmodern style. His works draw on progressive rock, free jazz, Baroque, glitch pop and chiptune, shaping a fragmented contemporary texture that moves between fluid delicacy and rough fury).

Plus spoken word from students in English and songs and performances from Theatre and Performance, as well as sets by resident DJs from NX Records.
