Join writers Wayne Holloway-Smith and Rebecca Perry in conversation about their debut novels 'RABBITBOX' and 'May We Feed the King’
The Goldsmiths Writers’ Centre, under the directorship of Tom Lee and Amy Sackville, exists to encourage new writing, to stimulate debate about all forms of literature, and create links between the different parts of the college where creative writing takes place.
WAYNE HOLLOWAY-SMITH is the author of Alarum (Bloodaxe Books 2017), Love Minus Love(Bloodaxe 2020) and RABBITBOX (Scribner 2026). He is a winner of The National Poetry Competition, The Poetry Society's Geoffrey Dearmer Prize, and has been shortlisted for The TS Eliot Prize and The Ledbury Munte Prize for Best Second Collection. He lives in London and currently edits The Poetry Review.
REBECCA PERRY has written two full-length poetry collections – Beauty/Beauty and Stone Fruit – both published by Bloodaxe Books (2015, 2021). Her first work of creative non-fiction – On Trampolining – was published by Makina Books in 2023 and her debut novel, May We Feed the King, came out with Granta Books in January 2025. May We Feed the King was shortlisted for the Waterstones Debut Fiction Prize and she was named one of the Observer's best debut novelists 2026. She is from London, where she also lives.
