An inside conversation with Liberty London exploring how creative leadership, iconic design and culture shape a distinctive creative enterprise across global markets.

What happens behind one of Britain’s most distinctive creative businesses?

Join Andrea Petochi, Managing Director of Liberty London, and Ffion Griffith, Design Manager for International Collections and Culture, for a special industry conversation at Goldsmiths exploring the business, creativity and culture behind Liberty.

Going beyond the familiar store, the conversation will offer an inside perspective on how Liberty operates as a creative enterprise — bringing together leadership, design, retail and international business while sustaining a distinctive identity.

Andrea will explore the relationship between business and design, including how creative culture is led within the organisation. Ffion will take the audience inside Liberty’s design practice, drawing on more than a decade with the company to explore iconic design, seasonal collections and how ideas inspired by different countries and cultures travel across international markets.

The session concludes with an audience Q&A and is open to anyone interested in luxury, fashion, design, branding, retail, international business, cultural enterprise and the creative industries.

Before the event

To get the conversation started before we meet, Andrea invites participants to explore and follow the Kyoto YouMe Triennale on Instagram. Take some time to look through the projects, ideas and creative work featured there — Andrea will use your observations as the starting point for the conversation at Goldsmiths.
