Masterclass by film composer Mariano Nunez West

When thinking of film soundtracks, what frequently comes to mind is the bold, symphonic music of big budget Hollywood films: studios have been going for the same, cliched formulas for decades.

Art films, however, show us that the music film world is much more varied and exciting. Film composer Mariano Nunez West from the Department of Music explores the musical conceptions and strategies behind some of their soundtracks.
