PureGold Festival - Evening Concert: En Travesti Ensemble

The 'En Travesti Ensemble' will perform Italian works for voices and chamber ensemble, to include:

'Questo asilo di placide calme' Euridice
'Vieni: appaga il tuo consorte, o cara' Duet
'Che fiero momento!' Duet
'Che faro senza Euridice' Orfeo
all from Gluck's Orfeo ed Euridice

Six chamber duets by Monteverdi

Poppea and Nero's duets 'Signor, oggi rinasco e i primi fiori' and 'Pur ti miro' from Monteverdi's L'incoronazione di Poppea.

Performers: Cn Lester and Rebecca Højlund (voices), accompanied by harpsichord and string quartet.
