Council de-brief session

28 Oct 2009, 1:00pm - 1:45pm

139, Richard Hoggart Building

Event overview

Department English and Creative Writing
Contact r.bolley(@gold.ac.uk)

A de-brief session where Richard Bolley, staff member elected from amongst the non-academic staff to sit on the College Council, will share his perspective on matters discussed at Council meetings. Open to all non-academic staff.

Richard Bolley, Departmental Administrator English and Comparative Literature, is the staff member elected from amongst the non-academic staff to sit on the College Council for the next three years.

In this new role, Richard has pledged to share his experience of Council by inviting colleagues to join him for a de-brief session where he will share his perspective on the matters discussed - summarising them and putting them into a staff context.

The first session will take place at 1pm on Wednesday 28 October in RHB room 139 and follows a ‘special’ Council meeting to be held on Monday 26 October. ‘Special’ meetings are those called between the set termly meetings, and are usually called to discuss a particular topic or theme in more detail. Agendas and minutes of Council meetings are, of course, available on the College website for you to consult at any time.

The de-brief session is open to all non-academic staff and will last less than one hour. Richard says he hopes the de-brief sessions will become regular events, enabling him to share with colleagues what he’s learnt at Council. Future sessions will be publicised via this events calendar.
