The Director of the Leverhulme Trust will be visiting Goldsmiths on 24 March 2010.

Prof. Richard Brook on the work of the Leverhulme Trust: 12:00 on 24 March, Room 309, RHB.

Professor Sir Richard Brook will be providing a presentation on
the work of the Leverhulme Trust and potential funding opportunities for Goldsmiths academics.

The presentation is scheduled to begin at 12 noon in Room 309, RHB and will be open to all academic and research staff - it will provide a unique opportunity to find out about research futures at the Leverhulme Trust and include a forum for Goldsmiths researchers to ask questions and raise issues regarding priorities for the forthcoming academic year.

The Leverhulme Trust does not impose traditional disciplinary boundaries and the absence of disciplinary definition emphasises the responsive element; consequently the choice of theme is, with few exceptions, a matter for the applicant.

There are a number of funding mechanisms available ranging from International Travel Fellowships to Research Programmes. Full details of the range of funding schemes can be found at:

http://www.leverhulme.ac.uk/grants_awards.

Goldsmiths academics have already received numerous awards from the Leverhulme Trust and the session will be the ideal opportunity to find out how your research could be framed to fit into their future agendas.

The session will last approximately three quarters of an hour and will be of key importance for Goldsmiths researchers at all stages of their career.
