A debate on festivals and other creative events with festival organisers, researchers and policy makers. Part of ESRC Festival of Social Science 2011

The panel and the audience will reflect on the means and ends of the social, educational and political engagement of cultural festivals, contrasting these with more mainstream entertainment, artistic and economic rationales.
